How we are different

Kingfisher Independent Funeral Services is proudly owned by its employees, via an Employee Ownership Trust. Our company directors, Andrew and Philip, both live in St Neots and (rather scarily) have more than 50 years experience of the funeral profession between them. They both hold the Diploma in Funeral Directing (Dip.FD). Our funeral directors are Philip, Richard and Andrew. We are supported in our roles by Julie, our full-time funeral arranger. We all take complete responsibility for our own clients, whilst ensuring that we support each other.

Our team

We consider that the celebrants we work with for the majority of the funerals we conduct are absolutely vital to the service we provide. Nicki, Lorraine, Marie and Carol are all qualified and experienced civil funeral celebrants who will work with you to create a unique and memorable funeral ceremony. Nicki, Lorraine and Marie provide office cover for us on occasions, so you may meet them in more than one capacity.

Our strength is in our very small size, which enables us to focus entirely on our clients and to offer a completely unique personal service.

We approach our profession from a non-commercial perspective. We do not sell inflexible packages. Even our fixed-price funerals, which we provide to allow you to budget without any worry, are completely personal and very flexible. We listen to the needs of our clients, and tailor our service to their exact requirements.

Unlike any of the other funeral directors in St Neots and Huntingdon, we are not part of any group. We are an entirely independent company, which means that all decisions are made at a local level. We are not bound by corporate rules and the constant demands from distant directors to increase profits. Find out who’s who in our towns.

We support local charities and organisations, and use local suppliers and businesses wherever possible. We care about our environment, and encourage a green and eco-friendly approach to funerals.
