What’s included

• Our professional services – making the arrangements for the funeral and giving guidance as required
• Bringing the person who has died into our care from a local hospital or place of death
• Care of the person who has died and use of our chapel of rest
• A standard veneered coffin suitable for burial or cremation
• Use of our premises for the funeral ceremony
• An estate car or similar vehicle to take the person who has died to the crematorium if required
• A death notice on our website
• Receiving and listing donations to a charity of your choice
• A scatter tube for the cremated remains
• Cambridge Crematorium’s direct cremation fee or grave digging in St Neots, Huntingdon or St Ives cemeteries
• A doctor’s fee for a cremation certificate if necessary
• The fee for a minister or celebrant as chosen
• Any optional extras paid for in advance, and detailed on your plan certificate

What’s not included

• Any services for a funeral director not appointed by Avalon
• Collection from a place of death further than 20 miles from our premises
• Additional venue costs eg for a church service (unless detailed on your plan certificate)
• Coffin bearers or any additional staff to carry out any additional services
• A funeral reception or wake, including costs for any catering for mourners
• Additional obituary notices (unless detailed on your plan certificate)
• Flowers or similar items requested in celebration of the person who has died
• The purchase of a burial plot
• Headstones, memorials or associated costs for stonework
• Gifts, including charitable donations
• Any costs incurred for the upkeep or maintenance of a memorial
• Any limousines (unless detailed on your plan certificate)
• Additional transport costs for the person who has died or their family
• Embalming
• Printed orders of service
• Audio or visual equipment, including any livestreaming or visual tributes
• Interment of the cremated remains
• Repatriation from outside mainland Great Britain
• Any other goods or services not specified in the inclusions section
