Rolo Rawlinson

rolo-rawlinsonRolo RAWLINSON of St Neots passed away peacefully after a brave 6 year fight against cancer on Wednesday 18th July 2012, aged 54 years.

Robert Edward Rawlinson was born in London on the 10th December 1957 to Robert and Violet Rawlinson.

He was the middle of three children, and has an older sister Carol and a younger sister Marion.

At High School in St Neots, Rolo met Susan for the first time. They were married and settled into life with their children Holly, Luke, Sophie, Emma, Neal, Leanne, Karla, Amber-Rose, Sarah-Jane and Katie.

He was very much a social man. He liked going to the pub to have a pint of fosters with his friends, and watching Arsenal play football.

Rolo was very close to Susan’s mum and dad Sheila and Peter, who regarded him as their own son. He became a very special Grandad to Shannon, Erin, Connor, Ruby, Toby and Evie.

He will sit in everyone’s hearts forever and will never be forgotten.

A celebration of Rolo’s life took place at Bedford Crematorium, Norse Road, on Friday 27th July 2012 at 4.00pm. Bright colours were requested. Football shirts were optional.

Donations for Macmillan Nurses may be sent c/o Kingfisher Independent Funeral Services, Gate Lodge, Cemetery Road, St Neots, PE19 2BX. Tel (01480) 471001.
