Job Vacancy – Funeral Director

Following a successful launch in 2010, increasing demand for our services, and the imminent expansion of our business, Kingfisher Independent Funeral Services has a vacancy for a full time funeral director to join our close-knit team and become highly involved in all aspects of the business.

This is no ordinary position with an ordinary funeral director. The funerals we are privileged to arrange are highly individual, and it is absolutely vital that you share our passion for excellent client care and attention to detail. We frequently receive feedback that ‘nothing is too much trouble’ and this is the attitude that you must have to each and every client.

As a small but rapidly growing business, we necessarily turn our hands to anything from washing cars to conducting high-profile funerals, and you must be willing to become fully involved in everything we do. This is a vocation, not a 9-5 job, and sharing in out-of-hours duties will be expected.

In return, we are offering the right person a good basic salary with contributory pension scheme, four weeks paid holiday per year, use of a company vehicle when on call and a chance to share in the success of the business in the future. This is also an excellent opportunity to gain a huge amount of personal satisfaction.

You may have some experience of the profession. You must have a full, clean driving licence, be confidently computer-literate, and preferably but not necessarily hold the Diploma in Funeral Directing (Dip.FD). However, the correct person with the necessary attitude is more important than experience or qualification.

If you feel that this opportunity could be for you, then please apply in writing by e-mail only, attaching a copy of your current CV, and e-mail your complete application to

The closing date for applications is Friday 22nd September 2017.

Thank you for your interest in Kingfisher Independent Funeral Services, the only locally-owned, fully independent funeral directors in St Neots and Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.
