We are once again very proud to have won a silver-gilt medal in the annual St Neots in Bloom competition.
Our garden is the first thing our clients see when they visit us, and it makes a lasting impression on a lot them. It is also the place that people congregate before and after funeral ceremonies which take place at Gate Lodge, so it is vital that it creates a welcome and peaceful atmosphere.
The garden also attracts a lot of wildlife, in particular bees, but this year we’ve also had goldfinches, woodpeckers and butterflies. The rosemary always smells wonderful when it’s wet, and people stop and talk to us about it as they walk past.
Huge thanks to Tim, as always, for his role in keeping the garden tidy and healthy. Apologies to the fatonis japonica which I accidentally cut down, thinking it was a tree. I am pleased to report that it is growing again, and could even take pride of place next year!
